Microsoft Sharepoint
Microsoft SharePoint is an integrated suite that can help improve organizational effectiveness by providing comprehensive content management and enterprise search, accelerating shared business processes, and facilitating information-sharing across boundaries for better business insight.
SharePoint organizes all aspects of information sharing, from finding documents through to collaborating with version control and workflow. It also works in partnership with other Microsoft products like Office XP to publish the documents.
SharePoint Products and Technologies provide enterprise-scale capabilities to meet business-critical needs like managing content and business processes, simplifying how people find and share information across boundaries, and enabling better informed decisions. One of the benefits of SharePoint is the ease of collaborating in teams and work groups. This tends to create a compulsion to just get something up and running, without thinking through how it will impact the entire organization. Similarly, instead of just dumping files into directories, SharePoint supplies web sites with document storage and retrieval with check-in and check-out functionality, version history, custom metadata, and flexible, customizable views. It also stores event calendars, contacts, web links, discussion, issues list, announcements, and much more.
Elvsys is currently planning to undertake following projects in a near future.
Mobile Payment System(mPayment)
This will be a symbian o/s based application. The scope of this application is to develop a reliable, fast, and user friendly bills payment system. With the successful lunch of this system, users will be able to pay their utilities and other bills of merchandise and services through their mobile phone using the SMS. The major support beneficiaries of this system will be the banks.
The module specifications and architecture for mPayment already has been on paper. The development phase is aimed to start by April this year and the beta release is expected in September, 2008.
Stock Trading System
We are researching on the currency and share trading mechanisms in the overseas countries, especially in Japan. Afterwards, we will be developing a robust stock trading system that provides both the automatic and manual trading facilities to the users. This software is expected to offer value-added services to the stock brokers and individual currency traders as well.
